Biography/Wiki
Sambit Patra was born on 13th December 1974 (age 48 years; as of 2022) in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. He was educated from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. He pursued MBBS from VSS Medical College and Hospital and further did his Masters of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 2002. Subsequently, he cleared UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination and was appointed in Hindu Rao Hospital, Delhi as a Medical Officer. He is the founder of Swaraj, an NGO working for the liberation of Dalits. He was appointed as the National Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party in 2011 and is in the post till date. Patra surfaced as the face of BJP all over the media in Delhi during the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2014 for his nationwide opinions in favor of BJP.

Career
Sambit Patra was an outstanding student and also a persuasive orator since his childhood. During his service as the Medical officer in Hindu Rao Hospital, Patra established an NGO in 2006, Swaraj, which works closely with the standards of improving health and education for Dalits in the areas of Odisha and Chattisgarh. In 2011, Patra resigned from his post of a Medical officer from Hindu Rao Hospital and joined BJP. He contested for BJP ticket from Kashmere Gate in 2012 but lost. His instant reflex to any facts or situations supporting his opinion in an ingenious manner is his endowment. To this, he was well recognized by the party and soon in the year 2011 he was elected as the National Spokesperson for BJP and since then he had been representing the views of BJP on various platforms which include debates, speeches. He is often seen pointing out the illegalities and atrocities of Congress party over Twitter. Currently, he serves as an Independent Board of Directors of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited.
