Television
Bharati Jaffrey was a prominent Indian actress who was the recipient of a distinction for being cast in a German International movie. She appeared in the television show Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa in 1998, and in the following year, she worked in the popular television serial Saans, aired on Star Plus along with her co-actors Neena Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh.

- According to Bharati Jaffery, her acting career was inspired by her father, Ashok Kumar, who used to take his bother daughters to his shooting sets in their childhood. In an interview with a media house, Bharati remembered that she was pampered like a princess at Ashok Kumar’s workplace by his co-workers. She recalled,
Papa exposed us to world cinema and the creative arts. I used to go to the sets with him and we used to be treated like little princesses. Those days, there was no television.”
