Saumya Tandon was born on 3 November 1984 (age 39 years; as of 2023) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. She did her schooling from St. Mary’s Convent School, Ujjain and enrolled in Fore School of Management, New Delhi to complete her Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
Saumya started her career in modelling at a very young age. She has walked the ramp at several fashion shows. In 2006, she was the first runner-up in the Femina Cover Girl Contest.

Saumya Tandon belongs to a Hindu Family. Her father, Dr B.G. Tandon, was a writer, professor, and HOD (English Department) at Vikram University, Ujjain. He had written 17 books on English Literature. Not much is known about her mother. Saumya also has an elder sister.
Saumya dated Saurabh Devendra Singh for 10 years before marrying him in December 2016. Her husband is the CEO of 1018mb which is a web platform that allows the users to watch films on big screens at their local theatres.
On 14 January 2019, the couple welcomed their first child, a son.
Career
Saumya made her debut in 2006 with the TV serial, “Aisa Des Hai Mera.” She played the character of Rusty Deol. In 2007, she made her debut in Bollywood with the role of “Roop” in the film “Jab We Met.”
Tandon has hosted various TV shows like “Dance India Dance,” “Mallika-E-Kitchen,” “Comedy Circus Ke Taansen,” “Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout,” “Bournvita Quiz Contest,” and “Entertainment Ki Raat@9- Limited Edition.”
In 2014, she made a special appearance in the comedy chat show “Comedy Nights with Kapil.” She has also featured in a number of TV commercials like Fair Glow, Malini Jewellers, L.G., and Chinese Cream.
In 2015, she appeared in the role of “Anita Mishra” in & TV Channel’s show “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!.” Her role was highly appreciated by the audience and earned her immense popularity.
In addition to acting, she has also written a poetry book titled ‘Meri Bhavnayein,’ which was nominated for an award.
