Television

Mandar’s debut TV serial was ‘Allaaddin’ (2007) in which he played the titular role. This fantasy serial was telecast on Zee TV.

Later, he worked in several Hindi and Marathi TV serials and played prominent roles. He worked in Mahavir Hanuman, Shree Guru Dev Dutta, Heer Ranjha, Pyar tune Kya Kiya, Savdhan India, and Razia Sultan (2015).

In 2020, he was signed for a Marathi TV serial, ‘Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta’ in which he played the lead role of Jaideep.

Film

Mandar made his film debut with ‘Say Salaam India’ (2007). He was 20 years old at that time. This film couldn’t perform well at the box office, and Mandar turned towards the small screen.

Apart from this, he appeared in a short film ‘Frozen Tears’ (2020) where he played the role of an architect; Frozen Tears is the winner of 7 Film Festival awards including Best Screenplay, Best Music, and Best Actor. It was selected as an Indian entry at London’s Pinewood Studio’s Lift-off Film Festival.

    Acting is in my blood. My father was an actor and director in the ’90s, but he quit the industry for some reason. I have grown up in such an environment where I have seen these insiders since my childhood. Our entire family gives advice and criticizes each other, and that’s what keeps us inspired.”
