Film
Sharan Sharma started his career in the film industry as an assistant director of the film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ in 2013. He later worked as a creative director for the film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016) and Lust Stories (2018). He made his debut as an independent director with the film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ (2020) starring Jhanvi Kapoor. The film was originally scheduled to be released in theatres, but due to the lockdown in India during the coronavirus pandemic, the film was released on the OTT platform Netflix.

- Initially, Sharan Sharma wanted to pursue a career in the business side of the film industry. However, after doing some internships in marketing departments of film companies in both India and America, he found his interest in the creative and narrative aspects of filmmaking after which he worked hard to become a film director.
- He has been a part of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for nine years. He has worked as a personal team member of Karan Johar for some episodes of his show, ‘Koffee with Karan.’
