Devdatta Nage is an Indian actor who is known for his work in Bollywood and Marathi cinema. He became popular in 2023 for his role as Lord Hanuman in the Indian mythological film Adipurush.

Devdatta Gajanan Nage was born on Thursday, 5 February 1981 (age 42 years; as of 2023) in Alibag town of Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He pursued a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Chemistry and later a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He was interested in adventure activities since his teenage and used to train people in trekking and river rafting during his college days. He later started modelling during his 20s and also worked as a professional sketch artist. He later ventured into the entertainment industry.

Television
He made his debut with the Hindi TV show Veer Shivaji as Tanhaji Malusare in 2011. He was later seen in the Hindi TV show Laagi Tujhse Lagan. He later appeared in the Marathi TV show Devyani (2012) as Samratrao Vikhe Patil.

He gained prominence in 2014 when he played the role of Lord Khandoba, an incarnation of Lord Shiva, in the Marathi TV show Jai Malhar. He later acted in the Marathi serials Mrutyunjay Karnachi Amargatha, Kalay Tasmay Namah, and Bajirao Mastani. In 2020, he acted as Dadasaheb Surve (Deva Don) in the Marathi serial Doctor Don, and in Jeev Majha Guntala in 2022 as Tushar Desai.

Film
His debut film was the 2014 Marathi film Sangharsh in which he played the role of Avinash Waghmare. He made his debut in Bollywood in 2014 by playing the role of a police officer in the film Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobara! He later worked alongside John Abraham in 2014 in Satyamev Jayate and played the role of Inspector Shankar Gaikwad. He acted in the 2020 Hindi film Tanhaji as Suryaji Malusare alongside Ajay Devgn and Sharad Kelkar.

He got his big break in 2023 when he appeared as Bajrang (Hanuman) in the mythological film Adipurush, based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, alongside Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan. Devdatta said in an interview that he used to chant Jai Sri Ram every day before the shoot and said,
Every single day before starting the shoot, we used to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’. I have to say that Goddess Saraswati resides in the hands of Manoj Muntashir (the dialogue writer). He has breathed life into this epic story with his writing.”
