She did her schooling from Mumbai’s Balmohan Vidyamandir and went to SIWS College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai to pursue her graduation. Pooja was good at acting and dancing since her childhood and also won various dance competitions in her college days. She was also a Volleyball player in her college days. In 2009, She participated in the Maharashtra Times Sharavan Queen Contest and emerged as the winner. It was then, that she decided to be an actress.

Career
Pooja Sawant started her acting career in 2010 with Sachit Patil’s “Kshanbhar Vishranti.” Next, she appeared in the Marathi film “Zhakaas” opposite Ankush Choudhary. The film was a blockbuster. Subsequently, she starred in the multi-starer film “Satrangi Re.” In 2014, Pooja featured in the satire blockbuster film “Poshter Boyz.”

In addition to films, Sawant has appeared in the Marathi dance reality show “Eka Peksha Ek Jodicha Mamla” and the Hindi dance reality show “Boogie Woogie.” She has also hosted the show “Wajale Ki Bara” on Zee Talkies.
In 2019, She made her Bollywood debut with the Bollywood film “Junglee” opposite Vidyut Jammwal.
