Booked in Frogery Case

In 2011, Bejoy, along with his family members, was booked by CBI in a cheating and forgery case worth Rs 5 crore. Earlier, Bejoy had availed a loan of Rs 4.58 crore from Union Bank of India. He had forged export bills and even siphoned off the money. When his father was questioned by the CBI officials, his father said that Bejoy was a spendthrift. Bejoy had spent so much money on his ex-wife Juhi Babbar that his company went into a financial crisis and to maintain the financial balance in the company, he took a loan. However, a close source of Juhi Babbar denied such claims. Later, Bejoy’s father said that the loan was not for his son Bejoy but for his textile company Minar International Ltd. However, Nambiar had stopped paying the instalments after which the case came to the notice. While addressing the media, the CBI officials said,

We have found incriminating evidence in the form of documents from both these places which corroborate the bank’s allegations. The Nambiars not only forged export bills, but even made fake shipping and landing bills even though no export ever happened. We will now find out who all were the the people who helped them in this fraud.”
