Kanchan Joshi’s husband, Deepinder Goyal, is the co-founder of Zomato, an Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery company. Reportedly, Kanchan Joshi met Deepinder Goyal at IIT-Delhi while both were in the same department. Goyal fell in love with her when she was pursuing her master’s degree in Mathematics. According to Goyal, he pursued Kanchan for six weeks before proposing to her. He once shared his love story during a media conversation. Deepinder Goyal said,
I chased her for six months by hanging out with her. We understand each other very well. We haven’t fought in years.”
The couple got married on 17 November 2007.
They have a daughter named Siara Goyal who was born on 29 October 2013.
