Deepak Niwas Hooda Foundation

Ankush Rathee began his Kabaddi career at the Deepak Niwas Hooda Foundation in Rohtak, Haryana. He later played at various district and state-level Kabaddi tournaments. Later, he was selected for the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Sonepat Kabaddi Team.

Pro Kabaddi League

In 2021, Ankush Rathee began his Pro Kabaddi League career with Bengaluru Bulls in season 8 as a franchisee nominated new young player; however, he did not get game time during the tournament. In 2022, Ankush Rathee was bought by Jaipur Pink Panthers as an existing young player to play during season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League.

Season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League was a turning point in Ankush Rathee’s professional Kabaddi career. In season 9, Ankush Rathee played 24 matches. He maintained a tackle strike rate of 67 per cent. He earned a total of 89 points during the tournament. He also earned nine high fives in total and became the first player in season 9 to collect 70+ tackle points. He broke the record of having the most tackle points by a debutant.

 

In 2023, Ankush Rathee was retained by Jaipur Pink Panthers as a left-corner defender in the new young player category for Rs. 30 Lakhs.

Chandigarh Junior Kabaddi Team 

In 2021, Ankush Rathee played for the Chandigarh National Junior Kabaddi Team at the 47th Junior National Kabaddi Championship held in S.P Office Grounds Suryapet, Telangana.

Services Sports Control Board

In October 2023, Ankush Rathee played for the Services Sports Control Board at the 37th National Games of India which were held in Goa; his team won the tournament.

Juniors National Kabaddi Team

In February 2023, Ankush Rathee played for the Juniors National Kabaddi Team at the 2nd Junior Kabaddi World Championships held in Urmia, Iran. He was appointed as the captain of the team. Ankush’s team won the tournament and became the 2nd Junior Kabaddi World Champions.
