Mahipal Sinwar was born on Tuesday, 1 January 2002 (age 22 years; as of 2024) in Sardarshahar, district Churu, Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He completed his schooling at a local government school and then attended the Sadul Sports School, Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Kabaddi Player

Mahipal started his kabaddi journey by playing in local tournaments in Rajasthan, and he has played matches in different cities of Rajasthan which include Bikaner, Ajmer, and Jaipur. In 2020, Mahipal represented the Rajasthan state kabaddi team at the 46th Junior National Kabaddi Championship which was held in Rohtak, Haryana. In the following year, Mahipal was qualified to play in the K7 Kabaddi Qualifiers Rajasthan 2021. He represented the team JSG Warriors and won the gold medal in the tournament finals.

In 2022, he represented the Rajasthan team in the Khelo India Youth Games followed by, representing the Rajasthan Police Kabaddi team in the 69th Senior State Kabaddi Championship and won the gold medal in the tournament finals.

In the same year, Mahipal Sinwar was picked by the team ‘Aravalli Arrows’ to play as a left raider in the summer edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series. He played 3 matches and earned a total of 33 points with a raid strike rate of 72.09% and a tackle success rate of 40%.

In 2022, Mahipal Sinwar was bought by the Lucknow-based team ‘UP Yoddhas’ for Rs. 8.78 lakhs to play in season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League. He played 5 matches and earned 11 points along with a raid strike rate of 42%. He was selected under the New Young Player (NYP) category.

In the same year, he represented the Rajasthan Police team in the 71st All India Police Wrestling Cluster Championship (Kabaddi) in which his team won the gold medal.

In 2023, Mahipal Sinwar was retained by the team ‘UP Yoddhas’ for season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League.

In the same year, he represented the Rajasthan Police kabaddi team in the All India Police Games in which his team won the runners-up trophy.

  • Mahipal Sinwar also served in the Indian army and was later appointed as a constable in the Rajasthan Police, and he also became part of Rajasthan Police’s kabaddi team.

  • It was Mahipal’s elder brother Mohan Lal who recognised Mahipal’s dedication towards kabaddi and took the initiative to support him in the journey.
  • Initially, Manipal was a right-cover defender; however, due to a lack of raiders in the team, he was asked to play as a raider.
  • While Manipal was practising at Sadul Sports School in Bikaner, he gave trials and got selected for the Sports Authority of India’s Gandhinagar branch.
