Henry Fambrough was an American vocalist who was the last surviving original member of The Spinners from 2013 until his death. Before becoming the Spinners, the Domingoes formed in Ferndale, Michigan in 1954. After Fambrough returned from the Army in 1962, the Spinners signed with Motown Records. Henry became a chauffeur for Berry Gordy Jr.’s mother after six years without success.
He took his last breath on February 7, 2024, in Sterling, Virginia, U.S. at the age of 85, and after that tributes poured in following Fambrough’s death. Jessie Peck said,
‘He set the standard for the rest of us about how the Spinners should be: always on point, with every step. He had a desire above all else to keep this going no matter what. That’s what he bestowed on us.’
