Jayden Robker, a 13-year-old boy who had been missing since early February who was found dead in a wooded area; however, authorities stated that there are no obvious signs of foul play. Two days after when his body was found Gladstone lake, police have confirmed it is Jayden Robker. On February 2, 2023 the last time Jayden was seen alive. The FBI declared a $5,000 reward for information leading to his disappearance on March 8, 2023.
On the same day, the KC Crime Commission declared they would increase the reward by $2,000, bringing it to $7,000. His mother said in an interview with fox4kc,
“He was a very ambitious kid. He loved skateboarding, he loved Pokémon, he wanted to be a gamer.”
Was Jayden Robker murdered?
Jayden Robker’s death reason is not confirmed. Divers retrieved him from a pond. He was reportedly last seen near a QuikTrip and planned to sell some Pokémon cards. Along with his five younger siblings, he leaves his parents behind.
Jayden Robker’s life back story
Jayden Robker said his mother’s partner was assaulting him and fled their home. Jayden on a safety plan under the care of his grandmother and sent a packet of counseling resources to Jayden’s mother, Heather Robker. According to DSS, Jayden stayed with his grandmother after this incident. He fled his house once more and claimed the same mistreatment. He was given to his uncle Derek Robker’s care.
While staying with his uncle, Jayden refused to go home because of the abuse and out of fear of “being removed from school”. Jayden’s aunt, Susan Deedon, told KSHB 41,
“Jayden was crying and begging to not go back there. It killed my brother, and now he lives with the guilt of Jayden being gone.”
Jayden remained with his uncle at the end of this incident. The father — whose relationship to Jayden and his mother is not clear, but is the biological father to three of the five children.
