Nidhi was born on Sunday, 30 November 1997 (age 22 years; as in 2019), in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She attended Railway English School, Chakradharpur and Kendriya Vidyalaya Chakradharpur to complete her schooling. To pursue her further education in music, she shifted to Adityapur a city in Jharkhand. She joined Jamshedpur Women’s College, Jharkhand to complete M. A. in Music.

Career
When Nidhi was six years old, she started her training in music from Molly Bhattacharyaji and Chandrakant Apte. She participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs (2011) aired on Zee Bangla. In 2016, she auditioned for Indian Idol 9 from Kolkatta and got selected for the final round, but she failed to clear the final round which was held in Mumbai. In 2019, she auditioned again for Indian Idol 11 from Jamshedpur and after clearing a total of eight rounds she was selected among Top-15 contestants.
