Jagee John was born in 1971 (age 48 years; at the time of death) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She did her schooling from The British International School of Jeddah. Later, she moved to India and completed B.Sc. Zoology from Mar Ivanios College, Kerala. She did a professional course in interior designing from the Scranton University in Pennsylvania, US.

Career
Jagee had worked as a BPO trainer for a few months. She had won the Mrs Thiruvanthampuram title. She was a well-known model in South-India. In 2010, she started her cookery show ‘Jagee’s Cookbook,’ aired on Rosebowl TV channel. She gained immense popularity with her cookery show. Later, she hosted another TV shows like ‘Cocktail’ on Kaumudy TV, ‘Little Cooks’ on Kochu TV, and ‘Celebration Chef’ on Surya TV.
In an interview, when she was asked about cooking, she said,
See, food is a universal need and cooking is something you should enjoy. The most important fact is that when you are cooking all your senses should be involved in the process. As you cut a strawberry, if you can feel the smell and texture of it, you can immediately say whether it is good or not.”
Apart from her cookery shows, she continued her modelling career. She had also judged many cookery competitions and beauty contests.

Controversy
In 2017, a man named Jeju downloaded her pictures from Facebook and harassed her on WhatsApp. She had filed a complaint against him in the cyber cell.

Death
On 23 December 2019 (Monday), her dead body was found in her flat’s kitchen in Kuravankonam, Kerala. She was living with her mother in the flat. The local police said,
One of her friends in Kochi tried calling Jagee on her phone. When she did not pick up, he informed a common friend, a doctor. The doctor went to Jagee’s house on Monday evening and found the door locked from inside. He then informed the us. We looked around the house and saw Jagee lying on the kitchen floor. We are investigating the case. An inquest and postmortem will be conducted after which we will be able to get more details.”
