Career
Television
After his television debut Rishta.com (2010), which was premiered on the Sony Entertainment channel, he starred in Epic Channel’s Daanav Hunters (2014). The show chronicles the adventures of Professor Bhagawat and his team who’ve made it their mission to keep and restore peace with Daanavs (Demons). In the series, Anjum played the role of Major Arkin Roy, an ex-army officer, and the team’s stand-in leader.
Film
He made his film debut in 2008 when he played the role of a call centre operator in the oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.
Thereafter, he appeared in various Bollywood films such as Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), David (2013), and Sona Spa (2013). In 2016, he played the role of Sartaj in the Bollywood film Wazir, featuring Farhan Akhtar, Amitabh Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, etc.
OTT/Web Series
In 2018, Anjum Sharma made his digital debut with the action crime thriller show ‘Mirzapur’ in which he played the brief role of Sharad Shukla. Later, he appeared in an episode of the Amazon Prime Video web series Made in Heaven (2019) in which two wedding planners run an agency named ‘Made in Heaven’ in Delhi. In 2020, Anjum Sharma came into the spotlight when his character ‘Sharad Shukla’ became one of the protagonists of Mirzapur 2.
