Dhukai when she graduated Secondary school, she still wasn not sure what she wanted to do with her life. Her male friends told her to try joining a makeup art school and later enrolled in a 3-month program at the School of Makeup Art in downtown Toronto.
Back in February 2007, after getting her father to agree, Farah Dhukai moved to New York City. Living with her friend in Manhattan, she jooined the Aveda Institute’s cosmetology science program.
Back in November 2007, she graduated from the program with an honor’s diploma in the makeup industry.

Dhukai just a month after graduating, her grandmother died and this impacted her immensely, having quit a a number of jobs after working for only four hours. This continued for a period of two years and later things changed three years later.

Back in 2010, she came across Michelle Phan on YouTube. She began watching her makeup tutorials and really admired what she was doing.
She later joined the Youtube community back on June 5, 2010. but she did not feel comfortable sharing any of her videos because she did not feel confident enough. She later shared her first video, “How to get Long Shiny Healthy Hair! — My Haircare Routine!” to the public on February 24, 2011.
Back in August 2016, she started posting more often on her Instagram account. and in August 2017, she shared a video announcing her comeback on Youtube and vowed to upload one video every week to her channel. Back in 2015, she had started a website called Farsali with the aim that bridged the gap between makeup and skincare.
