Patricia Del Rio Career
As of 2005 to 2009, Ms. Del Rio previously served as a reporter and anchor at WPIX in New York and, from 1999 to 2005, at her sister station, KTLA in Los Angeles. In Palm Springs, California, she started her career.
After the attacks of September 11th, Patricia was the first reporter based in Los Angeles to report live from Ground Zero, for which she would receive an Emmy nomination. During the 2000 NBA Championship LA Laker riots, her reporting when her news van was under assault won her and her news team a regional Edward R. Murrow Award.
In 2004, she received an Emmy Award for anchoring Best Newscast in Los Angeles (5-7 am mornings). Patricia is a self-described fitness fanatic and enjoys, indoors and out, just about every form of exercise.
