Pauline Hanson an Australian politician, founder and leader of One Nation, a right-wing populist political party. She has served as a Senator for Queensland as of 2016. She ran a fish and chip shop before entering politics as a member of the Ipswich City Council in 1994. She joined the Liberal Party of Australia back in 1995 and was preselected for the Division of Oxley at the 1996 federal election.

Hanson got disendorsed shortly before the election after controversial comments about Indigenous Australians but remained listed as a Liberal on the ballot paper. She later won the election and took her seat as an independent, before co-founding One Nation in 1997 and becoming its only MP. Hanson attempted to switch to the Division of Blair at the 1998 federal election but was unsuccessful.
After her defeat in the year 1998, she contested onseveral state and federal elections as the leader of One Nation, as the leader of Pauline Hanson’s United Australia Party, and as an independent. She later got expelled from One Nation in 2002. A District Court jury found Hanson guilty of electoral fraud in the year 2003, but her convictions were later overturned by three judges on the Queensland Court of Appeal. Hanson spent eleven weeks in jail prior to the appeal being heard.
She then rejoined One Nation in 2013, becoming a leader again the following year. She lamost got defeated at the 2015 Queensland state election and at the 2016 Australian federal election was elected to the Senate, along with three other members of her party.

Zagorski totgether with his mother had escaped war-torn Europe and arrived in Australia as refugees, and met Hanson when they met while both working for the Drug Houses of Australia subsidiary Taylors Elliots Ltd. They sgared two children: Anthony (born 1972) and Steven (born 1975). They later reconciled briefly in the year 1977 but eventualy divorced later that year when Zagorski left Hanson for another woman.
In 1980, she got married Mark Hanson, a divorced tradesman working on the Gold Coast in Queensland. They honeymooned in South-East Asia. Mark Hanson had a daughter, Amanda (born in 1977), from his previous marriage, and he later had two children with Hanson: Adam (born in 1981) and Lee (born 1984). They divorced in the year 1987.
In the year 1988, she started her relationship with Morrie Marsden, a businessman in Queensland. When Hanson began to receive national as well as international media attention for her views, Marsden left the relationship. Hanson had begun a relationship with Ipswich man Rick Gluyas in the year 1994.
