Sonia Singh was born on Monday, 21 September 1970 (age 50 years; as of 2021) in New Delhi, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She did her schooling at the Convent of Jesus and Mary in New Delhi. She went on to pursue a degree in English Literature at St. Stephens College, Delhi after completing her school education. Career
At the beginning of her career, she presented news on a news show titled The World This Week on Doordarshan. Sonia Singh started her journalism career as a researcher at the NDTV news channel in 1992. She managed crucial news reporting including 26/11, the attack on the Indian Parliament, the Kargil war, Jessica Lall case, Kandahar hijack during her career at NDTV. In journalism, various honourable awards and achievements were presented to Sonia Singh for instance Best Anchor, FICCI Young Achiever, Best Talk show, and Best Editor in Chief award. Apart from journalism, Sonia Singh is also an author. She released her book named Defining India, Through Their Eyes in 2019. Her book narrates the influence of the perspectives of the great Indian personalities who have come up with to India’s growth. - She is the receiver of the Chevening Scholarship. During her studies in the UK, she got a chance to meet Queen Elizabeth. She shared a picture of her while meeting Queen Elizabeth on her social media account.
- Sonia Singh interviewed Rhea Chakraborty on NDTV in 2020 after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput when no one was providing a public platform to an accused. Rhea Chakraborty was the main accused in the death and murder mystery of Sushant Singh Rajput.
