Surekha started her career in the 1990s. She made her debut in 1995 in the Marathi movie Zakhmi Kunku. She gained fame from the Marathi movies Saasuchi Maaya (1997), Aai Thor Tujhe Upkar (1999), Polisachi Bayko (2004), Bharat Aala Parat (2008), Khurchi Samrat (2010), Teen Bayka Fajiti Aika (2012) and Premaya Namah (2017).
