Death
Cristina Vita Aranda was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to hospital with a bullet wound to her head. She was shot in the head and didn’t survive. She was believed to be caught up in the crossfire of a gunfight in a VIP area at the Jose Asuncion Flores Amphitheatre in the Paraguayan capital Asuncion. Itaugua Nacional Hospital director Yolanda Gonzalez gave the confirmation of Cristina’s death and he said,
She was intubated when she arrived and attempts were made to resuscitate her for at least 25 minutes after she went into cardiac arrest. She died after the lengthy attempts to save her life.”
A total of four people aged between 23 and 40 were confirmed to be shot in the Binomio de Oro’s , a popular music band, music concert. Police chief Benicio Ramirez confirmed Cristina Vita Aranda as a “collateral victim” in his initial reports.
