Death
On 25 May 2022, she was found hanging in her rented apartment in Nagerbazar, Dum Dum, Kolkata, by one of her friends, who immediately informed the local police. The local police then reached her apartment and sent her body to R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, for post-mortem. The local police found a suicide note from the flat in which Bidisha wrote that she had cancer. During the investigation, one of Bidisha’s friends gave a statement in which she talked about Bidisha’s depression due to her (Bidisha’s) troubled relationship with her boyfriend. She said,
She had a torrid relationship with her boyfriend, something which she discussed with her close friends. She was tense and depressed. We often tried to cheer her up and boosted her to look at the brighter side of life. She was doing well and getting assignments. But she could never get over her relationship issues.”
