Aditi Arya is an Indian model, actress, research analyst, and beauty pageant titleholder. On 28 March 2015, she was crowned fbb Femina Miss India World. In 2021, Aditi was roped in to play the role of ‘Inderjit Amarnath’ (former Indian cricketer Mohinder’s wife) in the Hindi-language biographical sports film “83.”

Aditi Arya was born on Saturday, 18 September 1993 (age 30 years; as of 2023) in Chandigarh, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo.
She attended Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, and then moved to Gurgaon where she studied at Amity International School.
Subsequently, she enrolled herself in Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi University, to pursue a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS). While in college, she actively took part in street theatre. After completing her graduation, Aditi started working as a research analyst at Ernst & Young, one of the big four accounting firms. Through EY’s Young Leaders Programme, Aditi enrolled herself in the Indian School of Business. As of 2021, Aditi is an MBA student at Yale School of Management in New Haven, Connecticut.

In May 2023, Jay Kotak, Kotak Mahindra Bank’s chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director Uday Suresh Kotak’s son, confirmed that he was engaged to Aditi Arya.
Career
Corporate
Aditi started her career as an advisory member at Empezar, Delhi, in 2014. She then joined ‘Ernst & Young,’ one of the big four accounting firms, as a research analyst.
Beauty Pageants
While working as a research analyst at EY, Aditi participated in Femina Miss India Delhi 2015 and ended up as a runner-up. Aditi then participated in the 52nd edition of the beauty pageant fbb Femina Miss India World 2015 and was enthroned the winner of the pageant on 28 March 2015 at Yash Raj Films Studio in Mumbai by reigning queen Femina Miss India Koyal Rana.
In the same year, she represented India at Miss World 2015. She was crowned Miss Beautiful Hair and Miss Sudoku in the competition.
After Aditi won the title of fbb Femina Miss India World 2015, Indian multinational conglomerate Videocon made her its youth icon for its annual national-level talent hunt called ‘Young Manch.’
Modelling
Aditi featured as a model in the print shoots of many popular brands like Miss Diva Fragrance, Flying Machine, and Hazoorilal Jewellers.
She also appeared in a few TV commercials like the #nayisoch ad campaign with Aamir Khan and the Head & Shoulders commercial with Ranveer Singh.
In 2017, she was featured in the music video of the song “Tum Hardafa Ho” by Ankit Tiwari.
Acting
Aditi attended a few acting workshops after winning Miss India. At that time the film director Puri Jagannadh was looking for a fresh face and found Aditi through a talent management agency in Mumbai. Aditi Arya made her acting debut in 2016 with the Telugu film ‘Ism’ in which she played the role of Alia Khan.
In 2017, she made her digital debut with the Hindi web series ‘Tantra’ (released on Voot) as Sunaina.
Next, she played the role of Jyotika in Viu’s web series ‘Spotlight 2’ (2018). In 2019, she appeared in the Telugu film ‘Seven.’ The film was also released in the Tamil language.
In the same year, Aditi made her Kannada film debut with the film ‘Kurukshetra’ as Uttara.
In 2020, she played the role of Riddhi in the film ‘Unlock’ (released on ZEE5). In 2021, she bagged the role of Inderjit Amarnath (Indian former cricketer Mohinder’s wife) in the biographical sports film “83.”
Meanwhile, she also played the role of Ananya in Voot’s series ‘Sumer Singh Case Files: Girlfriends’ (2021).
Philanthropy
Aditi is actively involved in philanthropic work. She has worked for various underprivileged children in providing them with basic amenities and education. During an interview, while sharing the details of the same Aditi said,
I did teach a child with cognitive disabilities and I do keep guiding people about career, be it my driver’s son or others.”
She has also worked with some non-profit organizations like Amitasha and Protsahan for the betterment of society.

- In an interview, when asked if she always desired to become Miss India, Aditi said,
I had always thought of representing India at an international level, if not through a beauty pageant then through other platforms such as business conferences, conclaves, events. I idolise people like Raghuram Rajan and I wanted to have opinions on growth and economy in big business papers. I wanted people to listen to me but I realised with time that it takes a lot to reach the position, where you are heard.”
She added,
I knew that I wanted to get there, someplace where I make a statement and it becomes India’s statement. To decide if it was through the beauty pageant route or some other route – that was encouraged by my friends.”
- During an interview, when asked about her plans to work in Bollywood, Aditi said,
Right now, my focus is Miss World but after that, I would like to definitely try my luck in Bollywood. I will not shun any opportunity that comes my way. I would like to act in films and see where it goes from there.”
- During a press conference for the film “83,” Aditi was asked if she liked cricket. She replied,
You cannot escape the game if you are Indian! But I’ve never had brothers or friends who would drag me to watch cricket. My interest in it developed after I became part of 83. I now keep track of IPL scores and have become a fan of Mumbai Indians.”
