Alison has been with ABC7/WJLA-TV News since January 2004, covering important local and national news events such as Hurricane Isabel in 2003, the Virginia Tech killings in 2007, and the Papal Mass in Washington live from Nationals Park in April 2008. She joined ABC7/WJLA-TV after three years as a reporter and anchor at KIRO-TV in Seattle.

She covered the Seattle earthquake and the Tacoma connection to the D.C.-area shooter case while in the Pacific Northwest. Alison also reported live from Texas on the aftermath of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. Alison began her career as a reporter and morning anchor at WDEF in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before moving to Seattle.
