In 2003, Annapurna Bhairi was cast in the Indian true crime anthology series titled ‘Crime Patrol’ which was aired on Sony TV. In 2023, she was cast again for season 7 of the television series.
In 2012, Annapurna Bhairi was cast in the Hindi series based on the Hindu god, Lord Shiva titled ‘Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev’ in which Annapurna played the character of Sukarna’s mother in just 3 episodes of season 2. The television series was aired on Star Bharat (formerly Life OK).

Controversy
In 2021, Annapurna Bhairi accused the Marathi TV show Sahakutumb Sahaparivar’s director and her co-artists of ragging her, mentally torturing her and even provoking her to attempt suicide. Annapurna accused the lead actress of the show Nandita Patkar of demeaning her on multiple occasions and was quoted saying in an interview
One day the bathroom was not cleaned, so I asked her to clean it because she had used it, but she said, “I won’t do it, if you want to clean it, you clean it. It’s not my duty.”
Annapurna also claimed that Nandita and the director of the show constantly taunted her for her South Indian roots. She also accused actress Kishori Ambiye of passing derogatory remarks and was quoted saying that
Nandita Patkar and I were sharing a room on the set, and later, Kishori joined us. Kishori came inside the room for the first time, looked at me, and said, “ye room junior artists ko bhi diya hai kya?” (Has this room been allocated to junior artists as well).”
