Career

Arjun started his professional career in 2015 under the guidance of coaches, Joshi Parvez, Kumar Holinder, and Jaspal Rana. In 2018, He brought honour to his school by winning a team gold medal in the 10-meter Air Pistol event at the ISSF Junior World Cup held in Sydney, Australia. He scored 575 out of 600 in the tournament.

In 2021, in the 50m pistol event, Arjun Singh Cheema, Shaurya Sarin, and Ajinkya Chavan collectively scored 549 points out of a possible 600.

In 2022, Arjun Singh Cheema achieved victory in the national men’s 50m pistol selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.

In 2023, the Indian team of Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema, and Shiva Narwal won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol team event at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. They won by just one point more than China. Sarabjot Singh got the highest score for India in the qualifying rounds with 580 points and 18 bullseyes. Arjun Singh Cheema came in eighth place with 578 points and 19 bullseyes, while Shiva Narwal scored 576 points with 13 bullseyes, earning him the 14th position out of 56 shooters. In the individual final, Arjun Singh Cheema was the first to be eliminated, finishing in eighth place with a total of 113.3 points.
