Arthur Gunn (Dibesh Pokharel) is a contestant on season 18 of American Idol that premiered on February 16, 2020. He is famously know with his stage name ‘Arthur Gunn” that he came up with when he was working on his first album “Grahan”.

The name with the meaning Art in Arthur represents his love for art while “Hur” means Hole which is a Biblical name. The last name Gunn symbolizes battle.

Gunn auditioned on season 18 of American Idol where he sang a cover of Bob Dylan’s song, “Girl from the North Country”. He was then asked by judge Lionel Richie to perform another song and Gunn did a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You ever seen the Rain?” He impressed the judges so much and eventually was given a ticket to Hollywood.

Arthur Gunn Hollywood

While in Hollywood round, he was shown in the “Singer-Songwriter” category of the Genre Challenge, alongside Julia Gargano and Marna Michele. He sang “Hard to Handle” by The Black Crowes and it was later revealed that together with Julia Gargano, they had advanced.

He as well sang his own rendition of “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” by Creedence Clearwater Revival for his solo performance. He was placed in the same deliberation room as Jonny West, Sophia Wackerman, Franklin Boone, Makayla Phillips, Kimmy Gabriela, as well as Francisco Martin, DeWayne Crocker Jr., Cyniah Elise, and Lauren Mascitti and every one advanced.
