Asim Riaz met Himanshi Khurana, an actor, model, and singer, on the show Bigg Boss 13 in 2019. The duo soon developed feelings for each other. While on the show, Riaz proposed to Himanshi Khurana, who was already in a relationship with someone else named Chow; however, after Himanshi and Chow ended their relationship, she accepted Asim’s proposal, and the two began dating.

In 2023, after dating for about 4 years, the couple announced their breakup through a social media post. In the post, they mentioned their different religious beliefs as the reason for their decision to break up.

Soon after Himanshi announced the breakup, both Himanshi and Asim faced criticism from some netizens who felt that they had shown disrespect towards each other’s religions. In response, Himanshi later took to social media to clarify that neither she nor Asim had disrespected any religion. She further shared a screenshot of her conversation with Asim, where he had suggested mentioning ‘religious differences’ as the reason for their breakup.
