Asma Khalid is a Muslim American journalist and reporter and the political correspondent covering the 2020 presidential campaign. She helped launch a new team for Boston’s NPR station WBUR. While there she reported on biz/tech and the Future of Work.

Asma earned her Bachelors’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from Indiana University Bloomingdale. She earned her Masters of Philosophy in the Middle East and Islamic Studies from the University of Cambridge.
She later graduated in 2007. While still studying her Bachelors she did a general course in Political and Government. This was from The London School of Economics and Political Science. She did not pay for her college education. Khalid also took on Arabic language courses from the American University of Beirut and Middle College.
