After her audition, she earned a ‘yes’ from all four judges. After he being eliminated she called back to the stage along with four additional female contestants to form the girl group that would later become known as Fifth Harmony.
She later joined Fifth Harmony after competing on The X Factor , the group was of of her and four other contestants: Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Ally Brooke. Back in November 2015, she released a duet with Canadian singer Shawn Mendes titled “I Know What You Did Last Summer”. The song got ranked 20 in the US and 18 in Canada and got certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Back in December 19, 2016, Fifth Harmony publicly shared that she was leaving Fifth Harmony. A band statement on Twitter shared that she did not tell her fellow Fifth Harmony members face-to-face, despite them playing a Jingle Ball date in Florida that same day, instead delivering the decision via her management.
