Husband & Children

Dalljiet Kaur met Shaleen Bhanot on the sets of the show “Kulvaddhu” and fell in love with him. The couple tied the knot on 9 December 2009. She has a son, Jaydon. In 2015, Dalljiet filed for a divorce, accusing Shaleen of domestic violence. Her son’s name was earlier, Shaarav. She later changed it to Jaydon to let go of her ex-husband Shaleen Bhanot’s identity.

On 18 March 2023, she got married to Nikhil Patel, a businessman.

In February 2024, rumours about their separation started when Dalljiet removed her pictures with Nikhil and his surname from her social media profile. Later, her team stated that she had returned to India for her parents’ surgeries and would not discuss the rumours.

Career

Dalljiet Kaur started her acting career in 2004 with the TV serial “Manshaa.” Subsequently, she made special appearances in the TV serials “CID,” “Aahat,” and “Raat Hone Ko Hai.” In 2005, she appeared as ‘Siya’ in the TV serial “Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan.” Her first role as a protagonist was in the serial “Kulvaddhu” in which she played the role of ‘Niyati.’ In 2008, she participated in the season 4 of the dance reality show “Nach Baliye” along with her then-husband, Shaleen Bhanot, and emerged as the winner of the show.

Next, she played the role of ‘Anjali’ in Star Plus’ popular serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and became a household name. She has also appeared in serials like “Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur,” “Kaala Teeka,” “Qayamat Ki Raat,” and “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega.”
