Career
Deepica started her marketing internship in 2009 at Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. In the following year, she joined L’Oréal USA for a summer internship. Deepica began her career as an Inventory Deployment Analyst at Limited Brands- Victoria’s Secret PINK in Columbus, Ohio in 2011. In 2012, she joined Birchbox and started working as a Brand Campaign Strategy Manager. She worked there for one year and ten months. In 2014, she was promoted to the position of Brand Development Senior Manager at Birchbox, and she worked there for an additional one year and three months. In 2015, she became a beauty influencer and a YouTube personality when her first video went viral in which she was seen applying red lipstick on the dark circles under her eyes. It was done by her to camouflage her dark circles, cheeks, and chin with the makeup on it. Deepica was invited by The Today Show and The Dr Oz Show soon after her lipstick on the face to cover the dark areas went viral on YouTube. Her video was viewed by more than 10 million viewers. This paved the way for Deepica to get featured in various renowned magazines and tabloids including New York Times, CNN, Vogue, Marie Claire, Refinery29.
Shortly afterwards, these beauty hacks tagged Deepica as a beauty expert on YouTube. Soon, she started endorsing and collaborating with online beauty products and brands to represent the people of her skin tone. In 2019, Deepica’s Live Tinted venture launched a multi-purpose Huestick that can be applied on trio eyes, lips and cheeks as a kajal, lipstick, and blusher. Dark circles, dark spots, and hyper-pigmentation can be concealed by this multi stick.
Elle’s Future of Beauty Award for Innovation is presented to Deepica soon after the launch of this Huestick. Good Morning America also considered this Huestick as a magic pencil.
