Film
Dhanya made her debut in the film industry as Malathi in a Tamil film, 7 Aum Arivu, released in 2011. She appeared as Rashmi in a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu, Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, in 2012. She was in the leading cast of the film Amrutham Chandamamalo (2014), in which played the character of Sanjeevani.

She made her debut in Malayalam films through a film, Love Action Drama (2019), in which she appeared as Priya. She made her Kannada film debut in Sarvajanikarige Suvarnavakasha, as Janhavi released in 2019. She played the leading role of Swapna in the film Carbon (2022). She worked in the film Undenama in 2023. She appeared in many films like Raja Rani (2013), Raju Gari Gadhi (2015), and Jaya Janaki Nayaka (2017).
