Farhan Memon was born on 28 September 1990 in Anjar, Kutch (Gujarat). Farhan did his schooling at D V High School Anjar, and his MBA from Pune University, Pune. He was very interested in poetry and writing from childhood (school days).

Career

Farhan Memon began his career as a lyricist with the song ‘Rang Dariya’ from the movie Chehre which was released in August 2021. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead. It was a moment of joy and happiness as he thinks that song was larger than life debut for him. The song ‘Rang Dariya’ was sung by famous singer Yasser Desai and composed by Gourov Dasgupta.

In September 2021, Farhan’s single song ‘Jugnu’ was released on the 9xm Music Channel. It was sung and performed by famous actress Anveshi Jain.

Farhan wrote the lyrics for songs like ‘Ik Vaari Haan Keh De’, ‘Rozaana’, ‘Paagal Mujhe Tum Kahoge’ and ‘Aap Ko Dekh Kar’ for the famous music company Hitz Music started by Mr Vinod Bhanushali.

All songs were released in the year 2022. Famous Bollywood singers like Shruti Rane, Jyotica Tangri, Ankit Tiwari, and Akhil Sachdeva gave voice to Memon’s lyrics.

Farhan also collaborated with subcontinent artists. He wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Humsafar’ sung and featuring Pakistani singer and musician Sagar Malik. The song was released in March 2023. His single song ‘Kaaga’ was released in April 2023. It is composed by one of the finest composers Mr Ram Sampath and sung by Sona Mohapatra. He has some big upcoming songs in the pipeline which are sung by singers like Shaan, Javed Ali, Ash King etc. Farhan also wrote single YouTube Songs Like ‘Meri Ma’, ‘Mehram’, ‘Maaro Meet’ etc.

• Farhan wrote most of the songs without meeting music composers in person. Usually, music directors send the tune to Memon via email or WhatsApp and he provides lyrics on it and sends them back. So it’s a record that most of the music composers haven’t seen his face in person. Only by digital means like, phones and email they worked.

• Farhan’s debut songs were ‘Taari Kudrat’ and ‘Moj Laage’ from Gujarati Movie Alya Have Shu? which was released in 2016 and was sung by veteran Bollywood singer Shabbir Kumar. But he always considers ‘Rang Dariya’ (2021) as his debut as this was larger than life movie. Though the movie didn’t work well in cinema halls, Emraan Hashmi‘s fans liked the song ‘Rang Dariya.’
