Farida Dadi is an Indian actress, who predominately works in the Hindi entertainment industry. She is known for her performances as a child actor and for working in films, such as Sujata (1959), Kabuliwala (1961), Dosti (1964), Dhol (2007), and TV shows, such as Dill Mill Gayye (2007-2010), Uttaran (2008-2014), and Thapki Pyar Ki 2 (2021-2022).

Farida Dadi, also known as Baby Farida and Farida Devi, was born on Sunday, 8 June 1952 (age 71 years; as of 2023) in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. Her zodiac sign is Gemini. She talked about getting into films without being related to any film personality, in an interview, and said,
Our family did not have any connection with films nor were we familiar with any film personalities. I had never even thought of appearing in films, but circumstances so emerged that without any special efforts I made an entry into films and became busy as a child artist.”

Family
She was born into a Muslim family in Mumbai.
Parents & Siblings
Farida Dadi’s parents were born in Mumbai. Her father belonged to a family from Allahabad (now Prayagraj), while her mother belonged to a family from Lucknow. She has three brothers and two sisters. Her sister, Baby Guddi, and her brothers, Master Shahid and Master Javid have worked in films as child actors. Master Javid turned interior designer later on in his life. He passed away in 2006.

She married a businessman, Suleimaan Dadi, in 1971. She has two children, a son, Zubair, and a daughter, Naseem.

In 1959, she appeared in the song Ek Do Teen Char Aur Paanch, from the film, ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool.’ She also had a few dialogues in the film.
Later, that year, she got her first big break in the film, ‘Sujata’ in which she played the role of the young character essayed by Nutan. In 1961, she appeared in ‘Kabuliwala’ as Amina A. Khan.
In 1964, she appeared in the box-office hit film, ‘Dosti.’ In 1966, she appeared in ‘Devar’ as Munni M. Singh. In 1967, she appeared in ‘Ram Aur Shyam.’
In 1968, she appeared in ‘Brahmachari.’ In 2007, she appeared in ‘Dhol,’ as Mrs. Elizabeth Tripathi.
