Félix Wembanyama is the dad of Victor Wembanyama who is one of the greatest basketball prospects of his generation. He is a French professional basketball player who began his professional career with Nanterre 92 of the LNB Pro A in 2019. He has led his team to two silver medals and set the FIBA record for blocks per game in a single tournament.
He gained his first professional experience with the Nanterre 92 senior team under head coach Pascal Donnadieu, in the 2019–20 season. He signed a three-year contract with ASVEL of the Pro A and the EuroLeague, in 2021. He signed a two-year contract with Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A, in 2022. He emerged as one of the most dominant players in the league, in the 2022–23 Pro A season.

Félix Wembanyama is a Congolese and was a track and field athlete who competed in the high jump, long jump and triple jump. He won the bronze medal in the triple jump at the 1960 Summer Olympics and the silver medal in the same event at the 1962 African Games. He also won the gold medal in the high jump at the 1964 African Championships.
He currently serves as a youth basketball coach and raised their three kids in the Paris suburb of Le Chesney with his wife Elodie de Fautereau, is a basketball coach and former player.
