Gulshan Grover was born on 21 September 1955 (age 68 years; as of 2023) in New Delhi. His zodiac sign is Virgo.
He did his schooling from a government school in Delhi and went to Shri Ram College of Commerce to pursue his graduation. Later, he completed his post graduation in Commerce. Grover was inclined towards acting since childhood and enrolled himself in Actor’s Studio to receive his training in acting. He eventually became an acting teacher at the Actor’s Studio.

Gulshan Grover belongs to a Hindu Family. He is the son of Bishambar Nath Grover and Ramrakhi Grover. He has two brothers and two sisters. His brother, Ramesh Grover, works at BSquare Technologies. His sister, Rita Grover, is an NSD graduate. His brother, Sonu Grover, is a businessman.
Gulshan Grover dated Filomina for 6 years before they tied a knot in 1998. They have a son named Sanjay Grover. The couple parted ways in 2001.
After getting divorced, he married Kashish in 2001 but the marriage lasted only for 10 months. Later, the actor was also rumoured to be engaged with the actress Somy Ali.
Career
Gulshan started his acting career in 1980 with the film “Hum Paanch.” Subsequently, he appeared in films like “Sohni Mahiwal,” “Ram Lakhan,” ” Doodh Ka Karz,” “Saudagar,” “Vijaypath,” “Yes Boss,” and “Lajja.” In 2011, he played the role of ‘Bhati’ in the film “I am Kalam” which earned him a nomination for the National Awards for the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ category.

He has featured in the music videos of the songs “Sohni Lagdi” by Sajjad Ali and “Desi Kalakaar” by Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Grover has also bagged pivotal roles in Hollywood films like “Beeper,” “Blind Ambition,” “Desperate Endeavours,” and “Prisoners Of The Sun.” He has even acted in a few Iranian, Malaysian and Canadian films. He has won the Best Actor International at New York City Film Festival & Houston Film Festival for his portrayal of an Indian Hollyman, in the film “Desperate Endeavours.”
Controversy
Grover did a film titled “Boom” opposite Katrina Kaif in which they performed some intimate scenes. The scenes became a matter of controversy and, thus, were deleted later on.
