Kabaddi Player
In 2017, Gulveer Singh got selected as a raider in the Lucknow-based kabaddi team ‘UP Yoddhas’ for season 5 of the Pro Kabaddi League. He played a total of 4 matches in the season in which he scored 3 points along with a 38% of raid strike rate. In 2019, Gulveer became part of the Uttar Pradesh squad to play in the 66th Senior National Kabaddi Championship which was held in Roha, Raigad, Maharashtra.
In the same year, he was retained by the kabaddi team ‘UP Yoddhas’ to play as a raider in season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi League.
The following year, Gulveer Singh represented his home state kabaddi team in the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championship (2020) in Jaipur in which the Uttar Pradesh team won the bronze medal in the finals. He earned 14 tackle points with an average of 54.09% of average time on the mat. In 2022, he was again retained by the team ‘UP Yoddhas’ for season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League in which he scored 2 points along with a tackle strike rate of 200%.
In 2023, Gulveer Singh was retained for season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League by the team ‘UP Yoddhas’ and was bought at the prize of Rs. 13 lakhs.
