Hridoy Babu aka TikTok Hridoy is a Bangladeshi TikToker. In May 2021, he was arrested by the Bangalore police in the case of human trafficking and sexually assaulting a woman along with four other men and two women.

Controversy
Ridoy Babu/Babo was arrested in May 2021 along with two women and four other men i.e. Mohammed Baba Sheikh, Rakibul Islam Sagar, Hakeel in the case of sexual assault of a Bangladeshi girl in Kerala, India. Hridoy posted a video on social media in which he and four other men were sexually assaulting a girl. Later, it was found that two women helped Hridoy in involving the girl in human trafficking. As soon as video went viral on the social media, the Bangalore police identified Hridoy from his social media account and started further investigation in the matter. Later, all the four men who were involved in the crime were arrested, and a case was filed against six persons including four men and two women at the Ramamurthy Nagar Police in Bangalore.
The Bangalore police said when the four men were taken to the police station they were trying to escape and attacked the police, and in self-defence, police shot in the knees of Hridoy and Sagar. Talking to the reporters, victim’s father said,
A little over a year ago, she met her husband’s friend Hridoy in Moghbazar and told me that he would help her find work abroad with her husband. I tried to stop her, but she went anyway.”
Along with the Bangalore police, the Bangladeshi police took strict actions against the culprits. The Indian Journalist Pratiba Raman took to Twitter and wrote,
The nirbhaya-like incident in Bengaluru. 22-year-old allegedly gang-raped by 4 at NRI Colony 6 days ago. Another lady present with the accused. All including victim are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh reportedly involved in prostitution. Personal rivalry cited. Accused arrested.”
On 27 May 2021, the Khasi Students’ Union’s (KSU) Delhi Unit wrote a letter to the Union home minister Amit Shah urging him to take strict action against the culprits. Talking to the reporters in Bangladesh, Hridoy’s mother and uncle said that they had thrown him out of their house for his bad behaviour a few years ago.
