Jaylin Williams NBA Career

In his freshman season at Troy, Williams averaged 7.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. He was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Freshman team. In his sophomore season, he averaged 10.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. As a junior, Williams averaged 12.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game.

He was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference. In his senior season, he averaged 11.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game. Williams went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft. On December 18, 2020, Williams was signed by the Erie BayHawks of the NBA G League as an affiliate player of the Charlotte Hornets.

In his debut for the BayHawks on December 26, 2020, Williams recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to the Westchester Knicks. Two days later, he had 20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in a win over the Delaware Blue Coats.

Williams continued his strong play for the BayHawks in January, averaging 15.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. For his efforts, he was named NBA G League Player of the Month for January 2021. In February, Williams was signed to a 10-day contract by the Charlotte Hornets. He made his NBA debut on February 23, 2021 against the Brooklyn Nets, recording two points and one rebound in four minutes of action. Williams was born in Phenix City, Alabama and attended Central High School. As a senior, he averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks per game. Williams played AAU basketball for the Georgia Stars.
