Hunt began her career working at ABC Network News as a researcher for Peter Jennings during the 1984 Democratic National Convention in San Francisco. She then worked as an associate producer for ABC’s Monday Night Football.
She began her live television profession at the CBS affiliate in Monterey, California. She the relocated to San Diego in 1987 where she worked as an anchor for the ABC affiliate KGTV. For almost 15 years, she co-anchored the evening newscasts with Carol LeBeau. Hunt joined the KUSI News team back in October 2002.
She anchored the 6 p.m., 10 p.m., and 11 p.m. weeknight newscasts for 5 years. In January 2008, Hunt rejoined the 10News team. She currently works as the chief & primary anchor and managing editor for KGTV, appearing on its 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 11 p.m. weeknight newscasts with Steve Atkinson.
