Mackenzie Shirilla is now a criminal who has been sentenced for murdering her boyfriend Dominic Russo, 20 and her friend Davion Flanagan, 19 in an intentional car crash and has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison, in August 2023. As per NBC News, she will only be eligible for parole in 15 years and her driver’s license is also permanently suspended.

Mackenzie Shirilla parents are Natalie Shirilla and John. The accident took place on July 31, 2022 when Mackenzie purposefully drove her car into a brick wall at speeds of over 100mph and at that time she was just 17. She stated in a TikTok video that she could use a lot of drugs without dying. Her mother, Natalie tried her best to save her daughter from imprisonment.
She had reportedly had enough marijuana in her system to put her above the legal limit in Ohio and police verified to say that hallucinogenic mushrooms and a scale were found at the scene of the crash.

Mackenzie Shirilla Boyfriend
Mackenzie Shirilla was dating Dominic Russo. But their relationship was not so good. They had seen the pair fight in the past and that Mackenzie had also threatened to harm Dominic. Her TikTok account has now been set to private. She boasted about using drugs and not dying on one of her TikTok video. She said,
“I’m not even cool, I’m just one of those girls that can do a lot of drugs and not die”
In Aug 2022, she shared pictures of herself and Russo on several posts. Shirilla wrote on Russo’s obituary page which read as,
“the last person to deserve this and had such a perfect life ahead of him. The teen also shared pictures of herself and Russo on several posts, expressing her longing and grief. I miss your laugh your perfect smile. I feel your energy around me everyday i just wish it was physical.”

Mackenzie Shirilla was found guilty on 12 counts, including four of murder, four of felonious assault, two of aggravated vehicular homicide, one of drug possession and one of possessing criminal tools.
Mackenzie Shirilla Life Sentence
Mackenzie Shirilla was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of release after 15 years. Judge Nancy said,
“This was not reckless driving. This was murder. I understand that the pain in this room wants me to impose the harshest sentence, but I don’t believe that would be the appropriate sentence, because I do believe that Mackenzie will not be out in 15 years.”
