Malaika Arora was born on Thursday, 23 October 1975 (age 48; as of 2023) in Chembur, Mumbai. Her zodiac sign is Libra. Some sources, however, claim that she was born on Tuesday, 23 October 1973 (age 50; as of 2023). Malaika is not only a gorgeous Actress but also a model, dancer, VJ, Producer, and TV presenter. Her loved ones call her by the name ‘Malla.’ She has stolen the hearts of millions through her sizzling item songs in various films. As she is an avid dancer, her dance is a treat to our eyes. Malaika was born into a Punjabi Khatri family in Chembur, Mumbai. Her father, Anil Arora who served in the Merchant Navy, and her mother, Joyce Polycarp, got separated when Malaika was just 11 years old.

She has one younger sister, Amrita Arora, who is also an actress by profession. Malaika follows Hinduism. She got married to Arbaaz Khan on 12 December 1998 and got divorced in 2017.

She first met Arbaaz during the shoot for a commercial ad for coffee in 1993. The duo parted ways after 19 years of their marriage. The couple together has a son named Arhaan, born on 9 November 2002.

After getting separated from Arbaaz, Arhaan’s custody went to Malaika while Arbaaz has visitation rights. Her former father-in-law is an Indian scriptwriter, Salim Khan and her former brothers-in-law are; Sohail Khan and Salman KhanArjun Kapoor is said to be her alleged boyfriend, and the couple has been seen hanging out together quite frequently.


Malaika studied at Holy Cross High School Thane till 9th grade. She completed her secondary schooling at Swami Vivekanand School, Chembur. After completing her schooling, she took admitted in Jai Hind College, Churchgate but she could not complete her graduation due to her work commitments. When MTV started operating in India, Malaika was among the few VJs who got selected. She first hosted the show, ‘Club MTV.’ She did many commercial ads for various brands. She was featured in the album song; “Gud Naalo Ishq Mitha” by Bally Sagoo and opposite Jas Arora.

In 1998, her item number, Chaiyya Chaiyya, from the film, Dil Se, got her much fame and recognition.

In 2008, she played her first lead role in the film, EMI, which turned out to be a big flop at the box office. She produced the film, Dabangg, under her Ex-husband’s production house, in which she did the item number, ‘Munni Badnaam Hui.’ In an interview, she stated that she never wanted to act in films.
