Pro Kabaddi League

Maninder Singh debuted in the Pro Kabaddi League career in 2014 playing for Jaipur Pink Panthers where they won the inaugural title of the Pro Kabaddi League. Maninder was the best raider of the season with 130 raid points in just 16 matches. He missed the following three seasons because he was injured and had to take a break from the Pro Kabaddi League.

In Season 5, he played with Bengal Warriors. He scored 190 raid points in the comeback season. Maninder was retained by Bengal Warriors because of his enigmatic performance in season 5. Maninder Singh played Seasons 6,7, and 8 with Bengal Warriors.

In season 7, the team didn’t keep PO Surjeet Singh as their leader, even though he had been the captain for the past two seasons. Instead, they chose Maninder as their new captain. During a match against Patna Pirates, Maninder became the second fastest raider, just behind Pardeep Narwal. Despite Maninder not playing in one match, Bengal Warriors still won their first PKL title by defeating Dabang Delhi in The Arena. In the 2021-22 Pro Kabaddi League season 8, Maninder was again selected as the captain of the Bengal Warriors. In a match against U Mumba, he achieved something special by scoring 17 raid points, contributing 100% of the raid points for his team alone. Bengal Warriors retained Maninder as their captain in season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League.

International Career

In 2017, Maninder joined the Indian Kabaddi team, and they won a gold medal in the Asian Kabaddi Championship.

He started by playing a type of Kabaddi called ‘Circle Kabaddi’ in his village, a game many people play in Punjab and Haryana. A coach from the Punjab Police, Paramjit Singh, then helped him learn more. This made him want to play Kabaddi as a job.
