Mudassar Khan was born on 20 October 1987 (age 36; as of 2023) in Mumbai in a lower-middle-class family. He went to M.T.S. Khalas High School, Goregaon and completed his graduation from Prakash Degree College, Kandivali. He developed an interest in dancing at the age of eight as his family was facing some financial issues. So, he started teaching dance in schools to earn some money and help his family. He was always passionate about dancing. But he had never thought of making it as a profession.
Muddassar Khan participated in and won many dance competitions. In one such competition, Muddassar Khan got the opportunity to meet Salman Khan. Salman Khan was impressed by his choreography and offered him a song in his next film. From here, his journey as a choreographer began.

Career
Muddassar Khan started dancing at the age of eight. In the beginning, dancing was his hobby. Due to his financial condition, when he was just 13-14 years old, he started teaching dance at Thakur Public School, Kandivali, Mumbai. He worked there from 2001 to 2007 and also taught dance in a few dance academies. Later, in 2004, he formed a hip-hop dance group called Sharp Shooters.
He used to participate in different dance competitions with his group and solo. He was performing at a dance competition in a mall in Mumbai which was being judged by Salman Khan. Muddassar’s team won the competition and he got the chance to choreograph a song in Salman Khan’s movie Dabangg. According to Muddassar, Salman Khan is a God-sent-man who changed his life; as after Dabangg, there was no looking back for him.
After Dabangg, he choreographed many other songs for Salman Khan but he came into limelight from DID Season 4 (2013); where he was one of the three judges in the show. Later, he was the judge for DID Lil Masters Season 3 (2004) following Dance Singapore Dance Season 2 (2017) and DID Season 6 (2017).
From 2010 to 2017, he worked for over 20 films as a choreographer including Dabbang 1 & 2, Ishkq in Paris, Boss, Jai Ho, Fugly, O Teri, Kick, and Ram Leela.
