Mukesh Tiwari is an Indian actor and comedian. He is best known for the films “Dilwale,” “Gangaajal,” and “Yehi Hai Zindagi.”

Mukesh Tiwari was born on 24 August 1969 (age 53 years; as of 2023) in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. He attended Lal School, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India and Govt. Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India. Mukesh went to Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, India to pursue graduation. He, then, enrolled in National School of Drama, New Delhi, India to take lessons in acting. Mukesh was so good at acting that he was referred to as one of the best actors present at the University by his professors.

Tiwari was good at Cricket in his school days and even played U-12, U-15, and U-19 cricket for Uttar Pradesh. However, after watching the film “Chor Pe Mor,” he decided to pursue his career in acting.

Career

Mukesh started his acting career in 1998 with the Bollywood film “China Gate.” His portrayal of the role of ‘Jageera,’ a local dacoit, in the movie won him the “Most Promising Debut” (Male) Zee Cine Award.

Subsequently, he appeared in films like Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke, Refugee, Farz, Mitti, Pyaasa, and Hawayien. In 2003, he featured in the film “Gangaajal,” as Bachcha Yadav. His performance in the film earned him recognition and fame.

In 2006, Tiwari played the comic role of ‘Vasooli Bhai’ in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal. His performance in the film was so much praised by the audience that he continued playing the character of Vasooli Bhai in the sequels of the film as well. In 2008, he made his TV debut with “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.”

In addition to Bollywood, He has also appeared in Punjabi, Tamil & Telugu films.

In 2019, he was seen playing the ghost of Sanjeev Sharma in the SAB TV’s horror-comedy “Band Baja Bandh Darwaza.”
