Neeraj Kumar made his Pro Kabaddi League debut with season 7, where he represented the team Patna Pirates. He played a total of 22 matches and scored 55 tackle points in the league. In season 8, he was retained by Patna Pirates for Rs 49 lakh. In the season, he picked up 53 tackle points and 1 raid point.
He continued to represent Patna Pirates in Season 9 and 10 of the Pro Kabaddi League. He also captained the team for the season 9.
