He joined ABC News in Los Angeles as a desk assistant then rose to a producer, in November 1997 and for 20 years five months from November 1997 – March 2018 he has worked for the TV network, he covered entertainment and news for all ABC News programs during his time at ABC. He has traveled across the Middle East reporting from Afghanistan, after the September 11 attacks, covering stories in Iraq before and reporting about the civil war in Liberia after the 2003 invasion, and later moved to Beslan, Russa in the course of the school siege this was during his time at ABC News in London
