Player
Omkar Salvi played cricket for the Railways team in the 2004-05 season, Karnataka Sporting Association in the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons, Railways Sports Promotion Board XI in the 2009-10 season, and Central Railway from 2009 to 2013.
Coach
Omkar Salvi worked as the bowling coach of the Mumbai team before joining the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as the bowling assistant coach. In May 2023, he became the head coach of the Mumbai team. He also gave training to budding cricketers at Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Mumbai in 2016.
